    • Survey on the current situation and practical path of labor education of medical graduate students in the new era

ObjectiveTo understand the current state of medical graduate student labor education in the new era and its effectiveness, to explore the mechanism by which labor education affects labor practices, and to identify intervention points for improving labor education. MethodsA questionnaire survey was conducted from July 3 to 13, 2022, on the labor education of 216 medical graduate students from 10 double-first-class universities. The relationship between labor education, labor awareness, labor ability, and labor practices was analyzed. ResultsDescriptive analysis results showed that medical graduate students received little labor education. The structural equation model results showed that labor education positively impacted labor awareness (γ=0.712) and labor ability (γ=0.755), and labor awareness and labor ability positively impacted labor practices (γ=0.400, γ=0.635), indicating that labor education has a positive impact on labor practices. ConclusionTo improve the weak state of medical graduate student labor education, it is necessary to increase related training and courses, enrich the types and content of labor education, strengthen the assessment mechanism of labor education, and strengthen the responsibilities of instructors.

    • The impact of medical humanities literacy on job competency

ObjectiveTo construct a structural equation model of the mechanism of the role of medical humanities literacy in job competency and to conduct empirical analysis to verify the supporting role of medical humanities literacy in cultivating job competency. MethodsLiterature research was conducted to select the initial indicator system for medical humanities literacy and job competency, and then a conceptual model was constructed. Questionnaire data from four hospitals in Chengdu were collected. Through exploratory factor analysis, an indicator system for medical humanities literacy and job competency more suitable for the research population was obtained and the conceptual model was adjusted. Finally, the positive mechanism of medical humanities literacy on job competency was verified using confirmatory factor analysis (structural equation model). ResultsThe Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the overall questionnaire involved in the exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses was greater than 0.9, and the KMO values of the questionnaire were greater than 0.8, with a Bartlett's sphericity test P value less than 0.01, indicating good reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The model fit of the structural equation model met the requirements, with a chi-square degree of freedom ratio (CMIN/df) of 2.768, root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) of 0.077, comparative fit index (CFI) of 0.891, normalized fit index (NFI) of 0.840, and incremental fit index (IFI) of 0.891. ConclusionThe improvement of individual characteristics in job competency is mainly influenced by medical humanities knowledge and spirit. The improvement of cognitive characteristics in job competency is mainly influenced by medical humanities knowledge and ability. The improvement of achievement characteristics in job competency is mainly influenced by medical humanities ability and spirit. The improvement of management characteristics in job competency is mainly influenced by medical humanities spirit.

    • Analysis of the influencing factors of death anxiety in rural elderly based on structural equation model

Objective To identify the key influencing factors of death anxiety in rural elderly and their mechanisms of action. Methods A total of 701 rural elderly individuals from 6 prefecture-level cities (prefectures) in Sichuan Province were selected for a questionnaire survey on death anxiety, health-related physical fitness, and subjective well-being. A structural equation model was constructed to thoroughly analyze the influencing factors of death anxiety and their mechanisms of action. Results Higher levels of health-related physical fitness, higher levels of subjective well-being, and having more children were the top three protective factors against death anxiety among elderly people in rural Sichuan, with effect values of ?0.392, ?0.287, and ?0.154, respectively. In contrast, suffering from chronic diseases was the leading risk factor for death anxiety, with an effect value of 0.127. Suffering from chronic diseases was the leading risk factor for death anxiety, with an effect value of 0.127. The structural equation model fitting results showed that the medical insurance type of rural elderly in Sichuan (β=?0.062, P=0.002), suffering from chronic diseases (β=0.127, P=0.001), hospitalization due to health reasons in the past year (β=0.086, P=0.002), and educational level (β=?0.067, P=0.001) had indirect effects on death anxiety through health-related physical fitness. Not seeking medical treatment due to financial difficulties in the past year had an indirect effect on death anxiety through subjective well-being (β=0.060, P=0.002). The number of children had both a direct effect on death anxiety (β=?0.119, P=0.004) and an indirect effect through subjective well-being (β=?0.034, P=0.001). Health-related physical fitness had both a direct effect on death anxiety (β=?0.278, P=0.001) and an indirect effect through subjective well-being (β=?0.114, P=0.002). Conclusion Multiple factors directly or indirectly affect the level of death anxiety in the rural elderly population. Health-related physical fitness, subjective well-being, and the number of children are important protective factors. Moreover, health-related physical fitness and subjective well-being act as mediating variables in the chain of effects of multiple factors on death anxiety.

    • A Survey on In-patients' Satisfaction and Construction of Structural Equation Model of Influence Factors on Satisfaction

ObjectiveTo explore the influence factors on inpatients' satisfaction, in order to identify influence factors for improving inpatients' satisfaction. MethodsA sampling survey was conducted in hospitals at different levels in Sichuan province. The satisfaction of inpatients in these hospitals was investigated by self-designed questionnaire. Then, a structural equation model on influence factors of satisfaction was constructed. ResultsA total of 1 237 inpatients from 12 hospitals were surveyed. The total satisfaction of these patients was 82.14%. The patients' satisfaction of grade A tertiary hospital in Chengdu city was obviously lower than that of the prefecture- and county-level hospitals (all P values <0.05). The fitting degree of structural equation model was good; Inpatients' satisfaction was mainly influenced by 5 factors including hospital values (HV), service quality of doctors and nurses (SQ), service process (SP), convenience of resources (CR) and comfort of facilities (CF). Of the 5 factors, the HV and SQ respectively ranked the 1st and 2nd to the influence degree on satisfaction. ConclusionThis study identifies the key influence factors on inpatients' satisfaction. Specific measures should be taken by hospital administrators to improve the quality of medical services and the satisfaction of inpatients.
