ipilimumab是溶解性T細胞相關抗原（CTLA-4）的單克隆抗體。其作用機制為中和CTLA-4的免疫抑制作用，從而激發機體的抗腫瘤免疫反應。在多中心的Ⅲ期臨床試驗中，ipilimumab在延長患者生命方面取得了新的進展，因而美國食品藥品管理局（FDA）批準ipilimumab用于治療晚期惡性黑色素瘤患者，是惡性黑色素瘤免疫治療的重要進步。
