慢性阻塞性肺疾病（COPD）是一種臨床常見的呼吸系統慢性疾病，迄今尚缺乏根治性治療手段。因此，臨床治療除控制急性期的癥狀外，應積極制定穩定期的肺康復訓練方案，提高患者的生活質量。國外臨床醫學對于COPD穩定期肺康復的研究較為成熟，與之相比，傳統中醫康復具有輔助器械少，簡單易學，費用低廉，患者依從性高的特點。我們在2007年新版肺康復循證醫學指南的指導下，從康復訓練的不同方面，總結了現代醫學和傳統醫學關于COPD穩定期肺康復訓練的研究進展，并汲取兩者各自的優點，積極探尋中西醫結合的綜合性肺康復訓練方案。
